BINHI AT ANI SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY & INSTRUCTIONS

BAA Scholarship Eligibility and Application Form - 2018 (PDF)

PURPOSE: To recognize students who have achieved a balance of excellence in academics, leadership and community service.

ELIGIBILITY:

  1. Open to all seniors on the Island of Maui who will be graduating in the year 2018 and continuing students from University of Hawaii Maui College for the academic year 2018-2019.
  2. Open to college students from Maui continuing in accredited colleges or universities in the United States for the academic year 2018-2019.
  3. Have applied for and have been accepted by accredited post-secondary colleges or universities in the United States for the academic year 2018-2019. (Please attach proof of acceptance.)
  4. Demonstrate potential to succeed in college as evidence in high school or college transcripts and letters of recommendation.
  5. Submittal of an accurate completed application form, including attachments, no later than May 1, 2018.
  6. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on scale of 4.0) or 3.75 (on scale of (5.0). 

SELECTION PROCESS:

  • Scholarship Committee will review applications and make selections by MAY 6, 2018
  • Only scholarship recipients will be notified by mail.
  • Scholarship awards will be presented at the Barrio Fiesta Celebration on Saturday, May 26, 2018; 7:30 p.m. Awardees are expected to attend the Awards Ceremony.
  • Scholarship award checks will be given to each of the recipients upon submission of registration in the college or university of his/her choice no later than December 15, 2018. (Failure to submit proof registration by the due date will result in the forfeiture of the scholarship award.) 


The applicant is responsible for insuring that all materials, including transcripts and letters of recommendation, are submitted by the deadline.
